If you are looking for a desk-top companion to help you through your first draft, these three books are here to help. My newest books are for genre writers. Each is filled with templates designed specifically to help you tackle the unique writing challenge each genre presents. Characters in mystery novels include detectives, suspects and killers, and two murder plots: one planned by the killer and the other revealed by the detective as the crime is solved. In romance, there are two main characters struggling to create a relationship, helped and hindered by other characters and lots of other distractions that get in the way. In fantasy novels, the hero often follows an ancient pattern, the hero’s journey, and the writer needs to pay special attention to world-building and its many aspects. Writing memoir means digging into your past, looking at events and people through a lens that will captivate your reader. Well-designed worksheets will help you record the knowledge and research you need to create your first draft.
